Executive

The Executive Committee shall consist of the President, Past President, Secretary, Treasurer and six members of the Society. The President, Secretary and Treasurer shall constitute the Steering Committee of the Society and shall hold office for three years. The Past President shall be elected ex-officio, and hold office for three years. The six ordinary members of the Executive Committee shall hold office for two years.
 
The method of election of the Executive Committee shall be by popular vote at a General Meeting of the Society, or, in exceptional circumstances, by postal vote according to Clause 11, section “f.” The method of voting at all elections shall be determined by the chairman of the meeting.

A quorum of the Executive Committee shall be four members.

The Executive Meetings shall be chaired by the President and , in his absence, by an Executive Member elected at the Meeting.

The Executive Committee shall have the power temporarily to co-opt any member of the Society as an additional member for special purposes.

Should a vacancy occur on any committee during an interval between General Meetings, the President may appoint a member to fill such vacancy. The Member so appointed shall hold office until the next General Meeting of the Society.
